Alabama added to its 2028 recruiting class with in-state linebacker Ryquan Butler from Loachapoka High School in Notasulga, Ala. He’s a 6-foot-3, 205-pound linebacker who held offers from Ole Miss, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, and Auburn, among others.

Alabama’s 2028 recruiting class now ranks No. 3 nationally and No. 1 in the SEC, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. The class includes 4-Star CB Braylen Gibbs, 3-Star QB Charles Scott, 3-Star LB Dustin Henry, and LB Ryquan Butler.
Alabama is also in a position to earn a commitment from Benjamin Russell High School quarterback Kingston Preyear, who is the No. 5 player in Alabama and the No. 4 quarterback in the country.
