Indigenous Youth Voices Host Water Stewardship Event

Indigenous Youth Voices will host a free community gathering along the Snake River in Jackson, Wyo., to honor water, Indigenous knowledge, and the legacy of the Standing Rock movement.

Event Details

The event, scheduled for this Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at R Park, will center around water conservation, water stewardship, environmental resilience, and the role each person plays in protecting the lands and waters for future generations.

Speakers include Lynnette Grey Bull, Chase Iron Eyes, and Red Thunder. After the conversation, attendees are invited to stay and enjoy time together along the water, swimming, fishing, and more.

The event coincides with the 10-year anniversary of the Standing Rock protest movement against the Dakota Access Pipeline.
