Sheridan County Discusses Senior Citizen District

Sheridan County is exploring the possibility of creating a senior citizen service district. The district would provide various services for seniors, including Meals on Wheels, adult day care, and transportation.

What is a Service District?

A service district is an entity created by county voters and governed by a five-member board of trustees. It would be responsible for providing services to senior citizens in the area.

Currently, there are 13 senior citizen service districts in Wyoming, with seven being countywide districts. Johnson County, located to the east of Sheridan County, has a countywide district.
