The Sheridan County YMCA is facilitating the Safe Sitter Program to better prepare children to care for those they watch over. According to YMCA Executive Director Liz Cassiday, the program covers essential supplies, safety pieces, how to deal with behaviors, and how to transition into babysitting.
Program Details
The program is for ages 11 to 13 years old and will have a session on September 12th. It’s a full morning going into early afternoon, and participants are asked to bring a lunch. The program aims to protect both the children being cared for and the young babysitters themselves.
