David Thalman, 20, and Francesca Warick, 20, were found on Monday morning off Washington Island after they went missing over the weekend. The Door County Sheriff’s Office and Washington Island Police Department conducted a joint search operation.

Incident Details

Authorities believe the couple likely drowned while kayaking in Lake Michigan near the Death’s Door strait, known for its turbulent waters. It is reported that neither of them was wearing a life jacket.
