Budget Overview
City Manager Brent Parker outlined revenue projections, spending pressures and several policy decisions that will shape the proposed budget scheduled for release June 23. The city’s taxable value is projected at approximately $8.18 billion, a 1 percent increase over the previous year, with an estimated $127 million in new construction expected to generate about $740,000 in additional revenue. Sales tax growth is projected at 2 percent, reflecting slower growth than in recent years.
