Charlie Sheen, the star of the hit TV show “Two and a Half Men,” recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss his Netflix documentary, “aka Charlie Sheen.” When asked about his health, Sheen replied, “I think my presence answers those questions.”
Sheen’s Journey to Sobriety
Sheen has been open about his struggles with addiction in the past. In 2015, he publicly revealed that he is HIV-positive. He has also talked about his experiences with drug and alcohol addiction, and how he finally got sober in 2017.
Sheen described his journey to sobriety as a difficult one, but said that he is proud of his progress. “Dope and booze, at those levels, that’s a young person’s game,” he said. “That’s not for us AARP types.”
A New Chapter
Sheen’s documentary, “aka Charlie Sheen,” is a look at his life, including his struggles and successes. The documentary is directed by Andrew Renzi, who Sheen said was the only person he trusted to tell his story.
Sheen’s family, including his father, Martin Sheen, and brother, Emilio Estevez, declined to participate in the documentary. However, Sheen said that he is at peace with their decision and is happy to have had the opportunity to share his story.
