The 2026 FIFA World Cup has begun, and local fans are gathering in Arlington to watch the matches. Texas Live! is hosting watch parties with live Latin music, including a performance by Los Cuates de Sinaloa after the Mexico vs. South Africa match.

In addition to the World Cup watch parties, the National Juneteenth Museum’s festival, Freedom Vibes 2026, is returning for its second year. The festival will feature special guests, including Grammy Award-winning artist Kirk Franklin and ‘MasterChef’ judge Tiffany Derry.

Other local events include a stage production of ‘Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Ghost Machine’ at Stage West Theatre, a special screening of ‘Shrek’ at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, and a drag performance at Tulips FTW.
