Winter Park report shows most red-light violations come from improper right turns. The city currently has eight red-light cameras installed at six intersections.
Red-Light Camera Citations
During the 2025-2026 fiscal year, Winter Park issued more than 25,000 red-light camera citations, with 17,300 of those—approximately 70%—being for improper right turns on red. Most of these citations were paid, generating about $3.07 million in revenue.
The Winter Park Police Chief presented a report on red-light camera violations, revealing that most infractions occur when drivers fail to stop properly at right-turn lanes. The chief said there is signage posted before each intersection with a red-light camera indicating that the area is photo-enforced.
