Vancouver Elite Outreach, founded by Matt Young 16 years ago, aims to help the city’s youth through mentorship and teaching life skills. Young, who struggled with dyslexia and a tough home life, uses his experiences to guide the youth of Vancouver.
Mission and Goals
The outreach program, headquartered at Living Hope Church, focuses on boys and girls ages 11-18, providing them with the tools to improve themselves every day. Young’s goal is to bring the youth together with their families and community, helping them to become better individuals.
Vancouver Elite Outreach has organized career days, trips, and other events to showcase career opportunities and help kids discover their passions. The program is a launch pad for kids to live their dreams, according to Young.
The outreach is also a sponsor of the upcoming Back to School Bash, which will provide school supplies, clothing, food, and haircuts to families in need. The event will take place on August 15th at Living Hope Church.
