Saint James Court Art Show Unveils 2026 Collectible Print

Louisville’s beloved Saint James Court Art Show marked a milestone this week as the organization unveiled the official 2026 commemorative print. The limited‑edition artwork, designed to honor the show’s origins and its lasting impact on the city’s cultural landscape, will be available to collectors and attendees during the upcoming three‑day exhibition.

Print pays tribute to history and community

The newly released print incorporates visual elements that reference the show’s early days on Saint James Court, when local artists first gathered to display their work in the historic neighborhood. Symbols of Louisville’s river heritage, iconic brick streets and the vibrant storefronts that line the court are woven together, underscoring the event’s role in preserving neighborhood character while fostering artistic expression.

Mayor Craig Greenberg addressed the crowd at the unveiling, emphasizing the connection between culture and community. “It is just a great reminder that great cities are defined by great culture, great community, and great neighborhoods,” he said. “The Saint James Art Show epitomizes bringing those people together, supporting local businesses across the entire community, and reinvesting back into this historic, treasured neighborhood that we are all fortunate to have in Louisville.”

Event details and artist participation

The art show will run from October 2 to October 4, featuring more than 600 artists from across the region. Visitors can expect a wide range of mediums, including paintings, sculptures, photography and mixed‑media pieces. In addition to the visual displays, the weekend will host live music, food vendors and interactive workshops aimed at families and art enthusiasts of all ages.

A community panel convened during the unveiling to discuss the show’s legacy and its future direction. Panelists, which included longtime exhibitors, local historians and representatives from neighborhood associations, highlighted how the event has become a catalyst for economic activity in the area, drawing shoppers to nearby businesses and encouraging new development that respects the district’s historic fabric.

Supporting local businesses and neighborhood revitalization

Organizers note that the art show’s economic impact extends beyond the exhibition itself. Vendors and nearby retailers report increased foot traffic during the event, and many artists use the platform to launch new studios or collaborations with local businesses. The show’s nonprofit status ensures that a portion of proceeds is reinvested into community projects, ranging from streetscape improvements to youth art education programs.

With its 70th anniversary approaching, the Saint James Court Art Show continues to embody the spirit of Louisville’s neighborhoods—celebrating creativity, fostering civic pride and strengthening the bonds that make the city a vibrant place to live and work.
