NuLu Summer Fest is returning for its fourth year, bringing a full day of live music, local shopping, food, and family-friendly activities to East Market Street in Louisville.
Festival Details
The free event will take place from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. across three blocks. Organizers say there will be more than 80 vendors, live music, food trucks, yard games, putt-putt, a watermelon eating contest, and a limbo contest.
Along with returning favorites, this year’s festival will introduce a new feature: the Chopped Cocktail Competition. The contest will challenge bartenders to create a drink on the spot using a limited group of mystery ingredients.
Chris Allen, of Hotel Bourré Bonne, said he is ready for the challenge. “I’m ready. I’ve been there, done that, and I’m ready to conquer,” Allen said.
Summer Fest also marks the start of the People’s Choice Cocktail Competition, which runs July 18 through July 24, giving customers a full week to try featured drinks and vote for their favorite.
