The Louisiana Longhorn Café, a beloved Cajun restaurant in downtown Round Rock, has announced it will close its doors on June 20. The restaurant’s closure was announced via social media on June 5.
A Message from the Restaurant
A post from the restaurant’s Facebook page reads, ‘This is a bittersweet announcement, and we want to thank our Round Rock community, loyal customers, friends, staff, and everyone who has supported us throughout the years.’ The restaurant expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the community, feed families, and be a part of many memories.
The Louisiana Longhorn Café was first opened in 1999 by Melinda and Ray Overstreet. The restaurant has since changed hands but has continued to serve authentic Louisiana cuisine, with dishes borrowed from family recipes passed down through generations.
