A federal judge has ordered the removal of President Donald Trump’s name from the Kennedy Center’s branding. The Kennedy Center’s website logo no longer includes ‘Trump’ after the ruling.
Compliance with Court Order
The Kennedy Center’s general counsel instructed staff to update documentation, including email signatures and marketing materials, to remove Trump’s name. The large lettering on the building’s facade still features ‘Donald J. Trump,’ but it must be removed by June 12 to comply with the court order.
President Trump expressed frustration with the judge’s ruling, initially indicating that he planned to transfer full control of the center to Congress. However, he later stated that he would stick with plans to renovate the center.
The Kennedy Center will honor comedian Bill Maher with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor later this month.
