Hackers who breached a Liechtenstein register of companies, foundations, and trusts did not obtain financial information, according to the principality’s government. The register included names, nationalities, and dates of birth of beneficial owners, but not data on assets, revenue, or dividends.

Prime Minister Brigitte Haas stated that every financial center has potential risks, and Liechtenstein is working to minimize them. The perpetrators spent several hours in the system, accessing data individually before authorities detected the breach and shut it down.
