Iowa State Athletic Director Jamie Pollard has announced his plans to retire, effective June 30, 2027, or when a new athletics director is in place.
Pollard’s Legacy
Pollard has been at Iowa State for 22 years and has led the university’s athletic department to unprecedented success. In a statement, Pollard expressed his gratitude to President David Cook for allowing him to share the news and said he looks forward to the next chapter in his life’s journey.
A national search for the next ISU AD will start after listening sessions with representative stakeholders from across the ISU Athletics community are conducted. President Cook praised Pollard’s leadership, saying it has established a culture that has elevated the athletics program academically and athletically to incredible heights.
