A tragic accident occurred on a farm in Madison County, Iowa, resulting in the death of a 69-year-old farmer. Ronald Bane of Lorimor was found trapped by his skid loader while working on his farm.
According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of an adult male injured by a skid loader in the 3000 block of Heritage Avenue, approximately 12 miles southwest of Winterset. Bane was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is a sobering reminder of the dangers associated with farming and the importance of prioritizing safety in agricultural work.
