The Grants-Milan Municipal Airport has marked a significant milestone with the completion of two major capital improvement projects designed to enhance airfield safety and expand aviation services for the region.
Upgrades and Improvements
The $2.5 million terminal rehabilitation and hangar development project included a substantial expansion of the airport’s existing terminal, providing improved facilities for pilots and visitors. Among the upgrades is a new pilot lounge, offering additional comfort and convenience for those using the airport.
As part of the project, the airport also constructed a new 80-by-80-foot box hangar to accommodate aircraft storage and maintenance needs. Supporting infrastructure improvements included the development of a new taxi lane and apron, helping improve aircraft movement and operational efficiency on the airfield.
Construction on the project began in September 2024 and was completed on schedule during fiscal year 2025.
