The M.A.R.T.H.A., Inc. Precious Gems Junior Debutante Program recently honored three outstanding young ladies for their academic achievement, leadership, service, and personal growth. The program, presented in partnership with the Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, celebrates young women who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, character, leadership, and community involvement.
Precious Gems Awardees
Crowned Miss Precious Gem 2026 was Jasmyn Aliyah Vaughn, a 12-year-old rising seventh grader at Oglethorpe Charter School. Jasmyn has earned the ELA Award for maintaining an A average, the Reading Award, and the Top Titan Award. She is a second-year cheerleader, a Girl Scout Cadette, and serves on the Praise Dance Team at Butler Presbyterian Church.
Named First Runner Up was Willow Gray Badger, a rising sixth grader at St. Andrew’s School. Willow received the 2026 ELA Award and is active in volleyball, basketball, track and field, and flag football. She is also involved with My Girls Plus Organization, the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club, and Compassion Church.
The Second Runner Up honor was awarded to Shayla Marie Curry, a student at STEM Academy at Bartlett with a 91.3 GPA. Shayla is active in Beulah Baptist Church’s Children’s Ministry and Chorus and has played the violin with the Savannah Philharmonic for six years.
