Former Southwest Independent School District superintendent Jeanette Ball has been named the next CEO of Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas. Ball will begin her new role on August 24 and officially become CEO on September 2, following the retirement of current CEO Angie Salinas.
Leadership Experience
Ball brings over three decades of leadership experience in education, youth development, and community engagement. She served as a public school superintendent for 13 years, leading Southwest ISD, Judson ISD, and Uvalde CISD.
During her tenure at Southwest ISD, the district saw $250 million in campus improvements, the opening of a new elementary school, and a district academic rating that improved from a ‘C’ to a ‘B’ in recent years.
