In Teller County, Colorado, eight families participated in the ‘Rookie Sportsperson Program’ led by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) officers. The program aims to teach inexperienced outdoorspeople about hunting, fishing, and conservation.
Program Details
The program is a year-long commitment where CPW pairs rookie outdoorsmen and women with one of its wildlife officers. The Teller County Shooting Society hosted the training session at its range on Gold Camp Road. The program is free for participants, and the Colorado Chapter of the Safari Club donated $10,000 to support it.
