The Casper City Council has approved a contract for maintenance repairs at the Hogadon Basin Ski Area, addressing ongoing structural and plumbing issues at the Hogadon lodge. City officials recommended the move after previous attempts to stabilize the facility failed to stop the movement.
Project Details
Work will include the preparation of a demolition plan for the current slab, conducting building and site surveys, and providing detailed construction drawings for the plumbing and structural remedies. The contract also includes design and engineering services to correct and sustain slab-on-grade areas that have shown significant signs of settlement in recent years.
Hein-Bond Architects was selected for the project with a bid of $77,200, well below the other bid received of $159,370. Funding for the repairs will be drawn from the capital reserves for Hogadon. The project aligns with the council’s adopted goals regarding infrastructure and fiscal stability.
