Democratic strategist James Carville criticized far-left Democrats on Thursday, stating that they prioritize Soviet dictators over American civil rights leaders. Carville expressed his concerns on his ‘Politics War Room’ podcast, where he discussed the dangers of radical ideologies within the Democratic Party.
Carville’s Warning
Carville warned that these far-left Democrats, who he described as ‘overeducated little White turds,’ believe they know more than others and think they can dictate what is best for people. He emphasized that they have a distorted view of history, glorifying figures like Lenin while dismissing the contributions of civil rights leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Frederick Douglass.
Carville has long cautioned the Democratic Party against embracing far-left culture-war politics. With the rise of democratic socialists, he has suggested that the party should consider a schism to prevent radicals from gaining power. Carville also recalled instances of socialist politicians taking extreme positions, including calls to indict Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and speaking out against interracial dating.
Policy Proposals
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) recently unveiled a radical policy platform that sparked widespread backlash. The proposals included an immediate end to all deportations, free migration between countries without restrictive immigration controls, and extending full voting rights to people with criminal convictions and noncitizens. The group also called for the abolition of the U.S. Senate.
A recent Fox News Poll found that support for socialism is growing within the Democratic Party, with 52% of Democrats having a favorable opinion of socialism, compared to 41% for capitalism. In contrast, 61% of Republicans have a positive view of capitalism, while only 11% support socialism.
