Cal Poly Alum Speaks on Moon Trip

NASA astronaut and Cal Poly alum Victor Glover is set to speak at Cal Poly about his recent trip around the moon. Glover, a 1999 Cal Poly graduate, will share his experiences and insights from the Artemis II mission.

Artemis Mission Highlights

The 10-day research mission marked the first manned mission to outer space beyond low Earth orbit in over 50 years. Glover, along with three other crew members, traveled over 250,000 miles away from Earth.

Glover will discuss the critical role of STEM education, leadership lessons learned under extreme conditions, and the future of space exploration and life on Earth. He will also reflect on his journey from being a student-athlete at Cal Poly to becoming a NASA astronaut.
