Caitlin Clark’s First Nike Signature Shoe Launches Oct. 1 in the United States

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is set to release her first Nike signature sneaker on Oct. 1 in the United States, with a launch a week earlier in China. The shoe will retail for $140 and will initially be available in two colorways: “Caitlin Blue” and “Warning Code Yellow.”

Clark joins an elite group of active players

Clark becomes the fifth active WNBA player to earn a signature shoe, joining fellow Nike athletes Sabrina Ionescu and A’ja Wilson. Reebok already supplies Angel Reese with a signature model, while Puma does the same for Breanna Stewart. The first women’s basketball player to receive a signature shoe was Sheryl Swoopes in 1995; Elena Delle Donne and Stewart debuted a joint model in 2022, and Candace Parker was the last active player to launch a shoe in 2011.

Player’s personal connection to the design

Clark told the Associated Press in Germany that she feels “super excited” about the shoe, noting that few athletes ever receive such an honor. She said she hopes wearers will feel a part of her when they put the shoes on, and that the design reflects her personality and the colors she frequently wears. “It’s not just like Nike mocked this up and I check the box,” Clark explained. “I put a lot of time and effort into it, and I want my fans to feel connected and to feel like they can play just like I play.”

Beyond the sneaker

In addition to the footwear, Nike will roll out a signature apparel line featuring T‑shirts, jackets and sweatshirts. Clark indicated that more colorways are planned for future releases, expanding the line beyond the initial launch.

Price and availability

At $140, the shoe is priced similarly to Wilson’s and Ionescu’s signature models. The release will be handled through Nike’s standard retail channels, both online and in brick‑and‑mortar stores.

Impact on the sport

Clark’s signature shoe underscores the growing market for women’s basketball merchandise and highlights the increasing visibility of WNBA athletes. By offering a product that directly ties a player’s brand to a major sportswear company, Nike continues to expand its portfolio of female athletes, supporting both the sport’s growth and the individual player’s platform.
