Country music superstar Alan Jackson played his final show at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, marking the end of his touring career. The event, titled ‘Last Call: One More for the Road — The Finale,’ was a celebration of his life and career, featuring performances by other notable country artists.
A Night to Remember
Jackson was joined on stage by a number of guest performers, including Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, and George Strait. The concert was a testament to Jackson’s enduring legacy in country music, with many of the performers sharing personal stories about the impact he has had on their careers.
Despite struggling with a degenerative nerve condition, Jackson delivered a powerful performance, playing many of his hit songs, including ‘Gone Country,’ ‘I Don’t Even Know Your Name,’ and ‘Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning).’
The concert was also a fundraiser for the CMT Research Foundation, which supports research into Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, the condition that Jackson has been diagnosed with. One dollar from every ticket sold was donated to the foundation.
Although this may be the end of Jackson’s touring career, it is not the end of his music career. He recently released a new single, a cover of the Orleans song ‘Still the One,’ to celebrate his 50-year relationship with his wife, Denise.
