Jonesboro, Ark. – The Family Crisis Center announced that it will host CajunFest, a fundraiser featuring Cajun-inspired food, live and silent auctions, a raffle and a donation drive, on Friday, Oct. 16. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Harmony Gardens, located at 4517 E. Parker Road.
Event details and pricing
Attendees can enjoy unlimited Cajun-style meals and beverages for the price of $100 per ticket. In addition to individual tickets, the Center offers sponsorship opportunities for businesses and community groups that wish to increase their support. All proceeds will be directed to the Family Crisis Center’s programs that have served Northeast Arkansas for four decades.
How the funds will be used
The Family Crisis Center provides a range of critical services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Those services include safe shelter, daily meals, trauma counseling, mental‑health therapy, legal advocacy and forensic examinations. Executive Director Casey Kidd emphasized that each ticket purchased and each sponsorship pledged helps sustain these lifesaving resources and moves survivors from victimization toward empowerment.
“Every ticket purchased and every sponsorship pledged helps sustain critical services for survivors across Northeast Arkansas,” Kidd said. He added that community support is essential for building a safer environment for families throughout the region.
Community involvement
Local volunteers and donors are encouraged to participate in the auction and raffle, which feature items donated by area businesses and individuals. The donation drive will also accept non‑perishable food items, clothing and other necessities that can be distributed to families in need.
For those unable to attend the evening event, the Center welcomes additional contributions through its website. Tickets and further information are available at neafamilycrisiscenter.org or by calling 870‑897‑4033.
