40,000 Boon NURSH Baby Bottles Recalled Due to Choking Hazard

In a significant recall affecting families nationwide, TOMY International has announced the recall of approximately 40,000 Boon NURSH 8 oz Reusable Baby Bottles due to a potential choking hazard. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission made the announcement on June 4, 2026, highlighting the risk posed by the hard plastic outer shell of the bottles, which can bubble and peel, creating loose pieces that could be dangerous for infants and young children.

Details of the Recall

The affected products are the Boon NURSH 8 oz Reusable Baby Bottles 3-Pack in pink tie dye, sold exclusively at Walmart stores and on Walmart.com from November 2025 through May 2026. These bottles, priced at approximately $20, feature a hard outer plastic shell with a soft silicone interior pouch and the Boon logo printed on the side. Consumers can identify the recalled bottles by the item number B11654 and UPC 669028116546, both of which are printed on the bottom of the packaging.

To date, TOMY has received 135 reports of the outer shell bubbling or peeling, but fortunately, no injuries have been reported. Parents and caregivers are urged to stop using these bottles immediately to prevent any potential harm to their children.

Consumer Actions and Company Response

Consumers affected by this recall can contact TOMY for a refund or a replacement set of three bottles in a different color. The refund will be provided in the form of $22 in store credit to Boon’s website. To process the refund or replacement, customers need to submit a photograph of the affected bottles with “RECALL” written on them and certify that the bottles have been disposed of.

TOMY can be reached toll-free at 866-725-4407, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT. Additionally, consumers can contact the company by email at [email protected] or visit their website at recall.tomy.com/nursh for more information. The company’s main website also features a “Product Recalls” link for easy access to recall details.

This recall serves as a reminder of the importance of product safety, especially when it comes to items used by young children. Families are encouraged to stay informed about product recalls to ensure the safety and well-being of their loved ones.
