Wyoming Wrestling Adds Eight New Recruits

The University of Wyoming wrestling team has added eight new student-athletes to its roster. The team, led by head coach Mark Branch, is looking forward to a strong season with the addition of these new recruits.

New Recruits

The eight new recruits include Alex Berisha, Manny Rojas, Jace Roller, Justin Beauvais, Kaizen Detoles, Gunner Lopez, Sammy Sanchez, and Carson Shaw. These student-athletes come from various backgrounds, including high school and transfer students from other universities.

Justin Beauvais, a 141-pound high schooler from Arizona, is a two-time state champion and a top 100 recruit according to MatScouts. Alex Berisha, a 197-pound transfer from West Virginia, has multiple years of eligibility remaining and has collegiate experience.

Kaizen Detoles, a 174-pound high schooler from Utah, is a two-time state champion and has a great build and athleticism. Jace Roller, a 141-pound transfer from Missouri, is a three-time state champion and has a unique wrestling style.

Manny Rojas, a 165-pound transfer from Iowa State, is a two-time state champion and has one year of eligibility remaining. Gunner Lopez, a 165-pound high schooler from Colorado, is a great kid who is very aggressive and wrestles a high pace.

Sammy Sanchez, a 125-pound high schooler from Wyoming, is a state champion and has a ton of pride for the Brown and Gold. Carson Shaw, a 184-pound high schooler from Montana, has a great frame and will be a valuable addition to the team.
