The victim, 2-year-old Lane Graves, was killed at Disney World when an alligator dragged him into the water on June 14, 2016. The victim’s father did everything he could to free him from the alligator’s grip. However, Lane Graves’ body was recovered a day later.

By 2021, around 250 gators had been removed from Disney, according to AP News reports. A decade after the attack, his family is commemorating his life through the Lane Thomas Foundation. This foundation has supported more than 200 families by providing financial resources to help them navigate the challenging organ transplant process. The foundation also focuses on raising awareness of pediatric organ donation.
Matt and Melissa Graves are expected to release a video on the Lane Thomas Foundation website on June 14 honoring their son Lane Graves, according to TODAY.
