The Wylie Pirates had a remarkable season in golf and soccer, with both the boys and girls teams achieving great success. The boys soccer team, led by seniors Logan Montgomery, Zach Alshali, and freshman Luke Montgomery, made it to the Region II-6A Division I semifinals, finishing with an 18-3-6 record.
Boys Golf
The Wylie boys golf team, under the guidance of head coach Jody Aldridge, placed second in the district and qualified for the regional tournament. Carson Nash led the team with a 36-hole score of 151, followed by Cooper Knapp with a 154.
Girls Golf
The Lady Pirates golf team repeated as the District 9-6A champion for the fourth consecutive year, with Serina Armendariz winning the individual district championship with a 150. The team finished seventh at the regional tournament, with Armendariz carding a 150 for 10th place.
Girls Soccer
The Wylie girls soccer team, under the new leadership of head coach Shelby Ternus, had a successful season, finishing with a 20-7 record and making it to the regional semifinals. Junior Kennedy Butler was named the district’s Offensive Player of the Year, while senior Taylor Kelly earned Midfielder of the Year.
