Pedestrian Safety Plan Details
The Safety Action Plan will include information such as crash data and risk analysis, network screening, public engagement, strategy and countermeasure development, implementation of framework and evaluation metrics, plan development with actionable items, and adoption of the plan. Mayor Susan Sample stated that pedestrian mobility has been a high priority for City Council.
Completing the plan is estimated to take approximately 12 months and would position the city to qualify for grant funding opportunities for future improvements, city officials said.
