Then I had an encounter with God,” Meza recounted.

Earlier this week, Meza took part in an interim study at the state Capitol where teen violence was a central topic of discussion. He hopes the boxing event will not only keep teens off the streets but also inspire hope and demonstrate that the church is “in their corner” ready to support them in any way possible.
“I hope that they leave feeling heard and seen. That we’re in their corner, we’re here to help them out and support them in any way we can,” Meza said.
