Valhallan Esports Training Opens Youth Gaming Arena in McKinney

McKinney families now have a dedicated space for youth gaming after Valhallan Esports Training opened its new arena at 6541 Collin McKinney Parkway, Suite 104. The ribbon‑cutting ceremony on Sept. 5 featured free trial sessions, mini challenges, raffles and giveaways, signaling a community‑focused start.

Structured Play for Kids and Teens

The arena serves gamers ages 7 to 17 and emphasizes teamwork, communication, sportsmanship and confidence alongside gameplay. Participants train with certified coaches, compete in organized leagues and take part in development programs that teach strategy and collaboration—skills families value in traditional team activities.

“Gaming is already a huge part of young people’s lives,” said LeDaryl Roberson, owner of Valhallan Esports Training McKinney. “Valhallan creates a positive environment where kids can turn that passion into something meaningful by learning teamwork, strategy, communication and confidence alongside other players.”

Roberson added that the arena’s structured setting differentiates it from casual home play. By providing a supervised, team‑oriented atmosphere, the facility aims to foster camaraderie and accountability while still delivering the fun that draws kids to video games.

What the Facility Offers

Beyond daily coaching sessions, Valhallan offers youth esports memberships, seasonal camps, birthday‑party packages and competitive league play. Families can tour the space to learn about the curriculum, meet coaches and see how the arena integrates life‑skill development with gaming.

The McKinney location follows a similar venue opened in Frisco in June 2025, expanding Valhallan’s footprint in the Dallas‑Fort Worth area. Headquartered in Las Vegas, the franchise describes itself as the world’s largest youth esports network, operating arenas and leagues across North America and the United Kingdom with thousands of participants.

Community Impact

Local parents have welcomed the addition as a constructive outlet for their children’s interests. The arena’s emphasis on sportsmanship and teamwork aligns with what many families seek from extracurricular activities, providing an alternative to more traditional sports while still promoting physical‑mental discipline.

With organized programs and recurring leagues, Valhallan positions the McKinney arena as an ongoing destination rather than a one‑time drop‑in venue. The hope is that the space will become a hub for young gamers to build lasting friendships, develop leadership skills and stay engaged in a safe, supervised environment.

For McKinney residents looking for a structured, family‑friendly activity that taps into the digital interests of today’s youth, Valhallan Esports Training offers a promising new option.
