Local University of Alabama alumni and Crimson Tide sports fans will have the chance to meet the school’s president and baseball coach at a kickoff event celebrating the upcoming football season next week.

Event Details

The Tuscaloosa County Chapter of the University of Alabama National Alumni Association will host its annual kickoff party next Tuesday, August 4, at the Tuscaloosa River Market on Jack Warner Parkway, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

University of Alabama President Peter Mohler and Alabama Baseball Head Coach Rob Vaughn will serve as keynote speakers for the evening. The family-friendly event will feature a barbecue dinner, live entertainment, local vendors, a silent auction, and autographed sports memorabilia for sale.

Chapter membership is not required to attend. Adult tickets cost $30 and include dinner and event admission. Children under 7 can attend for free, and admission for those ages 8 through 12 is half-price at $15. Proceeds benefit scholarship opportunities for students in the Tuscaloosa County area.
