Raising her two young kids, a mom from Devon is spending her summer break cycling 1,000 miles across the UK. Ro Marshall, 36, began her seven-week journey in June, averaging around 26 miles per day with her 1 and 4-year-old sons.
A Family Adventure
The family is taking the scenic route, stopping at playgrounds and natural beauty spots along the way. Ro, a content creator, wanted to make the most of her time with her children before her eldest starts school and her husband returns from working away.
They have taken rest days during the heatwave and spent nights visiting family or staying at Airbnbs, planning their journey with her sons in mind. Ro has been sharing her journey on Instagram, raising money for the PANDAS Foundation, a charity supporting families affected by perinatal mental illness.
So far, she has raised over £23,000, and says she is grateful to be able to spend time with her children, living at their own pace. The family’s adventure is a heartwarming example of a family making the most of their time together and giving back to their community.
