Three people, including two juveniles, have been arrested or cited in connection with a burglary at Thousand Oaks High School. Taken were five Apple iMac computers and numerous keyboards worth a total of about $2,700, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

Damage to the school facility was estimated at approximately $800. At the school, investigators collected evidence that helped identify three suspects, a 17-year-old girl, an 18-year-old man, and a 15-year-old boy, all residents of Thousand Oaks.

Investigation and Arrests

Detectives with the Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement Unit and Thousand Oaks Directed Enforcement Unit served a search warrant at the 18-year-old’s residence. Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation and statements he made, the young man was arrested on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The man was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility but was released on his own recognizance. The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office charged the man with felony burglary, inducing others to participate in the commission of a crime with seven additional aggravating factors, court records show.

Detectives also served a search warrant at the teen male’s residence, where they contacted both juveniles. All five stolen iMac computers and the keyboards were recovered there, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
