Texas Man Drowns At Lake Eufaula

A 43-year-old Kilgore, Texas, man drowned after jumping from a moving boat on Lake Eufaula Wednesday night. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Brandon M. Shipman stood up and jumped into the lake from a boat traveling just over 40 mph about 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday and did not resurface.

Troopers said Shipman was not wearing a personal flotation device at the time. The patrol reported Shipman’s body was recovered on Thursday.
