Cornerback DJ Turner was a bright spot in the Cincinnati Bengals’ secondary during the 2025 season, with a pair of interceptions and 40 total tackles. Despite not being named to the Pro Bowl team, one of the Bengals’ best players believes Turner has a chance to become a Pro Bowler soon.
Ja’Marr Chase Weighs In
Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who faces Turner in practice daily, praised Turner during his first press conference of training camp. “I think the biggest thing with him is he’s playing with a lot of confidence,” Chase said of Turner. “He already plays with his feet a lot and I think the biggest thing is seeing him be a little more aggressive.”
The Bengals haven’t had a cornerback make the AFC Pro Bowl team since 2015. Chase believes Turner can change that in the 2026 season. “There’s a chance, a high chance,” Chase said. “If he has another year like last year, capitalize on top of it, then yeah.”
