The Deschutes County Fair in Redmond, Oregon, has entered its second day, offering a wide range of food options for visitors to enjoy. The fair features a mix of new and returning food vendors, providing a diverse selection of culinary options.
Food Options
Visitors can sample a variety of Mexican and Asian cuisine, as well as specialty items like huckleberry smoothies and Hawaiian teriyaki plates. Traditional fair sweets, such as elephant ears, are also available.
Many fairgoers have expressed their enjoyment of the food options, with one visitor, Kale Fischer, commenting on the quality of the elephant ear. “I got the elephant ear so far. It’s very delicious,” Fischer said. “The cinnamon on top. It’s like, perfect.”
Other visitors have opted for full meal plates from the various food vendors. Chad Towell, a Bend resident, sampled the Hawaiian-style offerings and described them as “excellent.” Brian Hathaway, who is visiting from Vancouver, enjoyed a plate of quesa doria tocos and praised the freshness of the dish.
The Deschutes County Fair runs through Sunday, with gates open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and closing at 8 p.m. on Sunday.
