The Texas Lottery is urging the winner of a $1 million Powerball ticket to come forward before the prize expires on August 1. The ticket was purchased at a Circle K in Austin on February 2.
Claiming the Prize
The winner matched five of the white ball numbers but not the red Powerball number. To claim the prize, the winner must do so in-person at a Texas Lottery claim center by 5 p.m. local time on July 31 or by mail with a postmarked claim form on or before August 1.
The claim form and ticket should be mailed to the Texas Lottery at PO Box 16600, Austin, TX 78761-6600. Unclaimed prizes will go back to the state for programs authorized by the Texas Legislature.
