A specially painted locomotive has been unveiled in Lebanon to celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary.
The Spirit of Lebanon Locomotive
The Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad announced the unveiling of The Spirit of Lebanon, a specially painted commemorative locomotive that will travel throughout Ohio to celebrate 250 years of America.
Officials said the locomotive will serve as a “rolling ambassador of freedom, patriotism and American heritage.”
“The Spirit of Lebanon reflects both our community’s pride and our nation’s remarkable journey over the past 250 years,” said Ray Kammer Jr, president of the LM&M Railroad. “As this locomotive travels the rails, it will carry the story of American freedom, innovation and perseverance to thousands of passengers and spectators.”
