Nielsen’s values were shaped long before she entered a courtroom. Growing up in a family of nine, Nielsen learned that opportunities were earned through hard work. She worked in barns and stables to pay for riding lessons before competing in hunter jumper events for more than 20 years. The discipline she developed there carried into Baylor Law School and eventually into her legal career.

Nielsen also believes credibility is strengthened when professionals remain dependable, continue learning, and focus on serving others rather than promoting themselves.
