A 14-year-old female has been arrested in connection to a swatting incident in Killingly, Connecticut, following a months-long investigation by state police and local authorities.
The investigation began in March, when the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, the Killingly Resident Troopers Office, Killingly Police, and the Killingly School District School resource officer started looking into swatting incidents.
After obtaining a search warrant for electronic devices and interviewing witnesses, a suspect was identified. The 14-year-old girl was summoned to juvenile court and is facing charges, including false reporting of a large-scale emergency, breach of peace, and threat that caused an evacuation.
