Taylor Farms, a massive food producer, is recalling over a dozen jalapeño products from grocery stores across the United States due to a salmonella outbreak that has made 345 people sick in 27 states.

The recall list includes dips, salsas, and guacamole sold at grocery stores like Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and Kroger. The products were distributed across 26 states and have a “Best If Used By” date up to and including August 16, 2026.
Taylor Farms said it received the jalapeños from Coast Citrus Distributors, which the FDA had already linked to the salmonella outbreak. The company stated that it is no longer sourcing products from this farmer and will be filling orders from alternative suppliers.
The Consumer Federation of America criticized Taylor Farms for not being more transparent in its original recall notice about the brands and retailers potentially affected by the parasite.
