Firefighters in Tampa, Florida, swiftly responded to and contained a commercial scrap yard fire on Wednesday morning. The fire was reported on the 5100 block of N. 47th St. at 11:40 a.m.
Upon arrival, crews encountered a heavy column of smoke and immediately upgraded the incident to a working fire response. Ground crews launched an aggressive attack, containing the fire within roughly 30 minutes of arrival.
Fortunately, authorities reported no injuries to either civilians or firefighters at the scene. Tampa Fire Rescue investigators were called to the location to determine the cause of the fire, which remains under investigation.
