The Johnson County Commission has approved a closure of county buildings for a training exercise. County Emergency Management Coordinator James Cataline explained that he was working to get the county back into having these emergency preparedness exercises.
Cataline said he solicited input from various county offices and found that September 18th worked best for the exercise. The county buildings will not open at normal hours on that Friday morning and will instead open for business at noon.
