Window washers from Larry’s Window Service dressed up as superheroes, including Batman, Thor, and The Flash, to visit patients at Blank Children’s Hospital. The yearly tradition aims to bring joy to the children. When the superheroes walked into six-year-old Wyatt’s room, the look of pure excitement on his face said it all.
Ted Beveridge, a dad himself, has been participating in the event for at least four years. He believes it’s a blessing to bring joyfulness to the children’s lives, especially since some of them have been in the hospital for months. Three-year-old Abbie, who has been in the hospital for a week, is a big fan of Supergirl, and her mother, Rachel Darr, said the visit definitely lifted her spirits.
The goal of the event is to bring a smile to the faces of the real superheroes – the children. Beveridge told Abbie and her sister, dressed as Thor, ‘I’m sorry you have to be here guys, but it’s good for you guys to be strong for each other, right?’
