A community garden in Shreveport, Louisiana, has been expanded to honor the legacy of Pastor E. Edward Jones, who helped inspire the garden’s creation. Volunteers planted herbs, spices, and other edible plants as part of an effort to continue Jones’ commitment to serving the community and providing fresh food to those in need.
A Lasting Impact
Donna Jones Hassan, Jones’ daughter, hopes the garden will continue to bring people together and strengthen the community. The garden project is one of several events being held to mark the 10th anniversary of Jones’ death and celebrate his lasting impact on Shreveport and Caddo Parish.
