A shooting occurred near the historic Williams Francis Taft Theatre in Carthage, with officers responding to the scene at approximately 8:29 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located a victim at the scene with a gunshot wound. The victim was then transported from the scene to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries.
CPD is continuing to investigate the scene. The circumstances that led up to the shooting remain under investigation, and officers currently do not have any information about a possible suspect to share.
